changes and an update

I decided to delete my old posts (so its no longer from the journal jar) and post about whats going on ttc related.

So with it being a year + I decided to finally go to the doctor. I had 5 vials of blood drawn (ow), ultrasound, & hsg. DH had his S/A. Everything for the most part turned out normal except that I have pcos. I don't even know how to describe how good it feels to have a diagnosis and to have known I was right all along. I had a good feeling it was and considered trying to get medicine for it before, but didn't know if there was more.

Anyways so I was given the option of doing clomid, or for this month I could be apart of a clinical trial on Lutrepatch. Well I chose lutrepatch. I took my progesterone, started, and now I start monday. Yay! I hate how horrible this af is, but i'm praying that it'll make it all worth it. I keep trying to stay positive that it will work and that its going to be my time, but then I worry what if it doesn't work? What if I get a placebo of both items? I just really can't wait to finally hold my baby.

I think i'm also kind of scared of having some type of accident with the Lutrepatch. I'm sure many do not know about it so i'll give a little info. It's basically GnRh (one of the injectable drugs) in a patch form. Both have been approved by the FDA, just not together. It's going to be electronic and will send it through pulsing. You're not suppose to get it wet and you wear it for 12 hrs. I'm so scared that I could possible 1.sweat on it or 2. somehow get splashed with water. It can be worn on an upper arm or abdomen so hopefully I won't have a problem with it.

I plan on updating as things progress and hopefully with have a wonderful result to tell about.

  1. Hey, my name is Lauren, and I just happened to stumble upon your blog. I am on Day 19 with my patches. I had a lot of the same concerns as you, but after the first couple days, I kind of forgot about them. I was able to figure out a pattern as to what time I needed to shower and stuff. It was pretty easy! The only thing is that the pulsing can sting a little bit. But a little stinging is totally worth the outcome, right?!? Anyway, if you would like to talk or have any questions, feel free to email me: LGrant24@gmail.com.

Hope it all works out for you!!!

    Lauren
